"So many books, so little time." - Frank Zappa There are 129 million published books in our world. Many probably have had a very small audience of readers, while others could have thousands. Though no matter what big time producers may say, what really matters is the quality of the story, the writing, the message. Don't you agree? Have you ever found a book, whether old or new, popular or obscure, that just filled you up in a way you've never felt before? Have you every found an author, or a series, that you just can't get enough of? Nothing is like reading a book for the first time, especially if it's a great one. So when a new series is discovered, it can be one of the best feelings. Reading can be a pretty awesome ordeal. |
Getting to the point of this post, I believe books have an element about them that can't be described. Diving into a piece of work that just grabs you and pulls you through the story is, as cheesy as it may seem, magical. One of the smallest an most underrated experiences in life, I think, is reading. Finding a great book, one that you can connect to, one that you can enjoy, one that makes you think, one that lets you explore different world without leaving your armchair, that is awesome.
One of my favorite bookstores is Chapters, Indigo. Follow this link to their website.
